MAK2 (b. 1989, Hong Kong) is a conceptual artist. Her work contemplates 21st century issues through the use of theory, art history, philosophy, and the Chinese e-commerce platform Taobao. Her body of work, most notably her ongoing series Home Sweet Home (2019–present), is marked by its sense of humor and innovative concepts of execution. She creates, installations, paintings, drawings, video work, youtube videos, stand-up comedy routines, and Instagram filters.
Mak2's artwork has been exhibited internationally, including at K11 Art Foundation, Shanghai, X Museum, Beijing; Pedro Cera, Lisbon; Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas; Gallery Exit, Hong Kong; Whitechapel Gallery, London; CAFA Art Museum, Beijing; and ltd Los Angeles. Mak2 lives and works in Hong Kong.
