Yimiao Liu (b. 1993, Hunan, China) is a Chinese artist whose practice explores the connections between forms of organic life and the role of consciousness in these relationships. She mainly focuses on the human female body; depicting moments of apparent annihilation that eventually lead to bursts into blossoms, with the intention for the viewer to experience time differently. Yimiao Liu received her MFA from California State University, Long Beach in 2018. Yimiao Liu has shown work internationally including at AucArt, London; Mana Contemporary, Miami; Superchief Gallery, LA; and Dream Co., Beijing. She currently lives and works in New York City.
