Jade Kim (b. 1981, Seoul) attended Korea National University of Arts. He currently lives and works in Seoul.
He is an emerging painter and formative artist. He creates colourful paintings and sculptures featuring “MIN,” a character modelled after his beloved wife.
MIN, with a pair of big dreamy innocent eyes, possesses all of his wife’s personality traits, likes, tastes, and her loving and curious nature. Inspired by topics from the couple’s intimate conversations, the artworks portray various scenes and imagination of MIN experiencing rapid and uncontrollable social change in modernity.
