Mahsa Merci (b. 1990) was born in Tehran, Iran and currently working and studying in Canada. Merci is an artist who works with different media and a diverse range of techniques to communicate the concepts of her works. She expresses her ideas through painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, photography, and video. She is famous in her experiential form of expression and texture, and frequently challenges viewers' engagement for the gender differentiation mining of the beauty. The portrait with significant racial identities measures the aesthetics in social relation.

 

She received her BA in Graphic design from Tehran University of Art and MA of Painting at Azad University in Iran. Currently, Mahsa is studying MFA at the University of Manitoba in Canada. She is a multidisciplinary artist who works with different media and a diverse range of techniques to communicate the concepts of her works. She expresses her ideas through painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, photography, installation and video. Mahsa Merci exhibited her works in more than 35 solo and group shows in the USA, Italy, UAE, India, Cyprus, Canada and Iran. One of her Video animation was exhibited in Miami art fair in 2018. In 2019, ABC news interviewed with her to show her works in the channel in Australia.
